Approach

Approach discs are straight to very overstable lower speed (Usually 4) discs that are used for precision approach shots to the basket giving more distance than a putter and less than a mid-range. Like throwing a horseshoe, the disc is usually the least influenced by wind and generally sticks close to where it touches ground. 

Recommended: Prodigy A3 for beefy shots and Prodigy A5 for straight shots.
